Tanquerey of the same title.  Some of the Chapter titles are: Holy Retirement (“We cannot conceive of anyone acquiring an intimate love of God, or a deep grief for sin, except he be fond of spiritual retirement” - page 1 of text); The Mystery of Suffering; Death; Judgement; Eternal Punishment; The Mercy of God; Spiritual Reading; Poverty; Employment of Time; The Mystery of Perseverance; The Conversion of America and many others. Each chapter of about 10 pages is an enjoyable read and often includes quotes from the Saints and Scripture.
